Old Wesley & IRC Announce New Partnership
IRC are delighted to be working in partnership with Wesley Rugby Club to provide career advice services for the players. We see this as an exciting opportunity to offer comprehensive and practical advice for those entering the job market or for those who are looking for a career change. IRC’s career advice services include the following:
1) Self-appraisal – An IRC consultant will have one-to-one discussions with each individual assessing that persons strengths, what they have to offer to potential employers and agreeing a way forward.
2) CV – The individual will be asked to fill out a pro-forma CV that an IRC Consultant will go through in detail. This is to ensure that the CV has the most relevant information on it, outlining the strengths agreed on in stage one. This CV will then be updated by IRC administration staff and returned.
3) Interview techniques – An IRC Consultant will hold a mock interview with the individual and will then provide general feedback and offer advice on how the interview could be conducted better where applicable.
4) Job search strategies – The consultant will discuss the various avenues that are available when job-seeking i.e. newspaper advertisements, jobs-boards, referrals etc. This also includes advice on social media and how to get the most out of Linkedin etc when approaching your job search.
IRC will also provide assistance and guidance on social welfare registration & procedures. For those interested in this service please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01 6610644
