Bereavements – Noel Dineen and Roger Byers

Old Wesley wishes to extend its sympathies to Club Director of Rugby Niall Dineen on the death of his father Noel, and also to Club Member Peter Byers on the death of his father Roger. Details of funeral arrangements, etc, are as follows:

DINEEN, (Cork), January 1, 2017, (peacefully), at the Mercy University Hospital, Noel, (The Crescent, St. Luke’s and late of Dunlops), dearly loved husband of Rose (née O’Halloran) for the last 60 years and much loved father of Brian, Aidan, Niall, Colette (Gleeson), Noelle (Cassidy) and the late Paul. Sadly missed by his loving wife and family, sister Delia, sons-in-law Paul and Richard, daughters-in-law Caroline, Breda and Liz, grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Lying in repose at the Temple Hill Funeral Home Boreenmanna Road of Jerh O’Connor Ltd. Removal on today (Monday) at 5pm to St. Joseph’s Church, Mayfield. Requiem Mass tomorrow (Tuesday) at 2pm. Funeral afterwards to Rathcooney Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations, in lieu to the Mercy Hospital Foundation. May he Rest in Peace

BYERS, Roger (Rathfarnham, Dublin 14) – December 31, 2016, (suddenly but peacefully), in his 90th year, beloved husband of the late Pamela; remembered with great fondness by his sons Peter, Philip and Michael, daughters-in-law, his 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, sister Pamela , sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Reposing at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray. Funeral Service on Wednesday, January 4 at 11.00am, in Rathgar Methodist Church, Brighton Road, Dublin 6, followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery. No flowers please.
