Billy Browne – Acknowledgement

It is hard to believe it is a year since Old Wesley lost one of its best loved members, Billy Browne.  The following acknowledgement appeared in the newspaper on 24th December and Old Wesley has been asked to include the notice on its website.

BROWNE, Billy (died December 23, 2015) – On the First Anniversary of Billy’s death, Geraldine, Frank, Louise, Alan, Barry and Will together with the extended family would like to thank most sincerely all who sympathised with them and attended his Funeral Service. Sincere thanks to Canon Horace McKinley for his support and friendship at such a sad time. A grateful thank you to Fr. Flor O’Callaghan of Good Counsel Parish, Ballyboden for sharing in the Service. Many thanks to Billy and Geraldine’s families for their care and attention over the past year. We are grateful for the constant support we receive from Principal, Owen McLoughlin and staff of Scoil Mhuire, Ballyboden. Thank you to our neighbours in Willbrook, whose help will be remembered always. We appreciate the generosity of family, friends, Billy’s work colleagues in Bank of Ireland and stalwarts in Old Wesley Rugby Club for contributing to his beloved Rwanda Mission Appeal. Billy lives on in his new grandson, Oscar, who was born on November 27, 2016.

Buíochas Le Dia. “In My Own Time”
