Billy Browne – Deceased
Old Wesley has learned with great sadness of the death of Billy Browne. Billy has been an active member of Old Wesley since he moved to Dublin for work reasons in the 1960s and in recent years he has filled the role of club P.R.O. A larger than life character, both physically and personality wise, he was always good company to enjoy a pint with after a match, when he would analyse in detail the strengths and weakness of the Old Wesley team.
Old Wesley extends its deepest sympathy to his wife Geraldine, his sons Frank, Alan and Barry, his brother Ken, who is also an active member of Old Wesley, and to the rest of his family.
Billy’s funeral will take place at Whitechurch Parish Church, Rathfarnham at 12 p.m. on Monday the 28th of December. Burial afterwards in the Church grounds.
