It is with great sadness that we have learnt of the death of Brian Motyer, after a long illness.
Brian was a hard running centre who played mainly 2nds and 3rds rugby during the 1980s and ‘90s. He also had a number of outings on the Senior team including as a replacement in the Leinster Senior Cup Final. He was a member of the first Old Wesley team to win the J2 League in 1982-83, and of the J2 League and Cup Double winning side of 1988-89. On a number of occasions played alongside his brother Colin.
We extend our sympathies to his wife Fiona, daughters Rachel and Gillian, son David, who also played for Old Wesley in recent years, brothers Colin and Peter and the rest of his family at this sad time.
