In the inaugural Leinster 2A2B Cup Old Wesley recorded a comprehensive win over Naas at Donnybrook. Wesley dominated the first half to lead 31-0 at half time. The Kildare men rallied in the second half scoring five tries, however the hosts held out for what in the end proved to be a comfortable win. Final score 52-27. Old Wesley’s scored eight tries from Barry McLaughlin (2), David Potterton (2), Conor Boyd, Colin Wallace, Stephen Harvey and Ian Cassidy. McLaughlin and Cassidy added 6 conversions between them.
