Ireland Head Coach Andy Farrell announced his 33-player Ireland squad for the 2023 Rugby World Cup, with Jonathan Sexton named to captain the team in France. Farrell opted to bring 18 forwards and 15 backs – with both Baird and Porter amongst the forwards. Club President, Ronan Bools commented: “Every time the two lads take to the field it brings immense pride to all in the club and particularly our Minis, where it all began. They have always been a credit to themselves and their families. The two lads are fantastic role models, going to a world cup is something extra special.”
