Five Old Wesley Players Represent Leinster A

Old Wesley RFC continues to demonstrate its strength as a pathway club for developing elite rugby talent, with five Old Wesley players selected to represent Leinster A in the recent fixture against Ulster A.

Pictured following the game are Steve Smith, Billy Corrigan, Tom Larke, Rian Handley and Mahon Ronan, all proudly wearing the blue of Leinster. Their selection is a testament not only to their individual commitment and ability, but also to the quality of coaching, support and rugby environment that exists within Old Wesley. For any club, seeing players progress to provincial representation is a source of immense pride. For Old Wesley, having five representatives in the same squad highlights the success of the club’s player development pathway and the strength of the talented young group currently emerging through the ranks.

Since this photograph was taken, the journey has continued for some of these players on the international stage. Rian Handley has gone on to represent Ireland at the World Rugby U20 Championship, while fellow Old Wesley player Josh Neill has also earned international honours, representing Ireland in the same tournament.

These achievements reflect the growing impact Old Wesley players are making beyond Donnybrook, with increasing numbers progressing through provincial and national pathways. The club takes great pride in supporting ambitious young players as they pursue opportunities at the highest levels of the game. Everyone at Old Wesley congratulates Steve, Billy, Tom, Rian, Mahon and Josh on their achievements and looks forward to following their continued progress in Leinster and Irish rugby.
