On Wednesday 27^th of May Old Wesley RFC took another step in the development of girls rugby and another first, by having an all female pitch for our 4^th session of the IRFU Give It A Try programme.  Along with the 15 girls taking part, we also had three invited female coaches, one coach and two of our U16 Girls.

It was a glorious summers evening at HQ and a huge thank you goes to Coach Elin as well as Lianna, Niamh and Danielle form the OW Touch team and Cate and Sasha from the U16’s who led the girls in exercises to improve their understanding of attacking play and 2v1 situations.

We have another four weeks to go, and it’s not too late to register to finish off the season. Girls Rugby Give it a Try 2026 – Old Wesley – Join Us – A Club For Life!

Thanks all.
