A most enjoyable 40 year reunion of the team that won the Leinster Senior Cup in 1985 took place, About 60 players, partners and friends attended, with nearly all of the team and subs present. Sadly 2 of the team of the day; George Wallace and John White; are no longer with us, and they were remembered on the night. There was even one representative the opposition club, Wanderers, present.
There were speeches from Club President, Alan Browning, the referee on the day, Owen Doyle, and some entertaining ‘interviews’ with Bill McLaren, Brent Pope, Matt Williams and George Hook; aka Nigel Osborne. Niall Farren acted as MC for the night.
Thanks to Niall Farren and Wayne Sheridan for organising the event.
