Old Wesley v Bective Rangers
The Ulster Bank All Ireland League returns this Saturday (11th January) with a home fixture against neighbours Bective Rangers. This local derby is likely to be Old Wesley’s biggest match of the year with a large number of other activities taking place on the same day. Old Wesley’s record against Bective in the AIL is very poor, however the team and management will be anxious to reverse this, particularly after their fine performance against UCC before the holiday breakup. We look forward to seeing a many members as possible there on the day. Kick off 2.30pm

“Old Wesley (7th) v Bective Rangers (12th), Donnybrook
A ‘Donnybrook’ used to be a byword for an unruly brawl back when Donnybrook Fair was a sprawling market rather than a food emporium. It may be more refined these days but expect no quarter when these neighbours and rivals meet.
There will be plenty of stories at the pre-match lunch and a few more to add to them after the game.
Five points separate the sides but form and home advantage count for little in this clash. Old school!”
