At the Old Wesley AGM 28th May 2025 Old Wesley RFC confirmed the election of Patricia Parfrey as the new President of the Club, well-earned recognition of her exceptional dedication and leadership within our rugby club and the wider community.
Patricia has been a driving force in Old Wesley for many years, serving as the Mini & Youth Coordinator and Club Welfare Officer, while also contributing in numerous other roles across the club. Her commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and vibrant rugby environment has left a lasting impact on generations of players and volunteers.
Her contributions have not gone unnoticed. In March 2023, Patricia was honoured with the Leinster winner of the 2023 Spirit of Rugby Volunteer Awards recognising the volunteerism. Patricia went on to win the IRFU Spirit of Rugby Award, a national accolade celebrating her outstanding volunteerism and embodiment of rugby’s core values.
As we welcome Patricia into her new role, we also extend our gratitude to Alan Browning, our outgoing President. Alan has led the club with integrity, enthusiasm, and a deep love for the game. Under his stewardship, Old Wesley has continued to grow both on and off the pitch. We thank Alan for his service and commitment, and we look forward to his continued involvement in the club.
Congratulations to Patricia, and heartfelt thanks to Alan—from everyone at Old Wesley RFC.
