Philip Orr elected IRFU Junior Vice President
Old Wesley stalwart Philip Orr has been elected Junior Vice-President of the Irish Rugby Football Union. His election to this role means that Philip will be due to come in as IRFU President in season 2017-18.
Philip gained his first Irish International Cap in 1976 and went on to earn 58 caps for his country. He toured with the British and Irish Lions in 1977 and 1980. He was President of Old Wesley in Centenary Season, 1991-92. In recent years he has represented Old Wesley on the Leinster Branch Committee and later on the IRFU committee.
This is a great honour for Old Wesley and the club congratulates Philip and wishes him well for the next three seasons.
