At the recent club EGM the members voted in favour of a major Club Pavilion Development.
Club Chairman Shane Gill said: ” I am delighted to be able to confirm that the motion to redevelop the Donnybrook pavilion was passed unanimously by the members. The new development will see an extensive refurbishment of the existing changing rooms and shower area, and the construction of a new two story extension, to provide additional function space as an extension of the existing much loved members bar area, which will be retained as is.”
Shane went on to thank the large group of members representing the Minis, Youth, Junior & Seniors players, as well as the Pavilion and Over 60 members who turned up to demonstrate their support for the project. He also referred to the enormous effort that has gone on behind the scenes by many members to get us over the line, in particular the original architect Derek Jago, quantity surveyor David Turner, business planning manager Paul Short, and project chairman Mark Duffy.
The development will be funded by club funds from the proceeds of the Kilgobbin/Ballycorus deal, a sports capital grant and members contributions.
There will be ongoing regular updates on this website at various stages of the project.
