Supporting the Old Wesley Vision Impaired Rugby Team on their Journey to Japan 2026
The Old Wesley Vision Impaired (VI) Rugby Team has been invited by the Japan Blind Rugby Union (JBRU) to represent Ireland in an international vision impaired rugby tournament taking place at Komazawa Olympic Park in Tokyo, Japan on 6–7 November 2026. The Rugby Programme is an IRFU initiative delivered in partnership with Vision Sports Ireland and Old Wesley Rugby Football Club. Alongside Old Wesley VI and Japan, teams currently aiming to compete at the tournament include England and New Zealand. This tour will also mark the first time Old Wesley VI will compete against the New Zealand VI team on the international stage.
