Under 10 Girls finish their Pre Christmas tour

For the 3rd weekend in a row, our Under 10 Girls took to the field, this time at Blackrock RFC, and represented themselves and the club with great passion and enthusiasm.  With jellies on the line the girls played against Seapoint RFC and a combined team of St Marys and Blackrock scoring a ruck of tries in the process.

Two simple things – run forward with the ball in attack and dont let go in defence.

Helena and Jude were both strong in running in a straight line and made numerous line breaks, Isabella found space in attack and denied space in defence, Eva worked well supporting the ball carrier at the breakdown, Kathleena’s rucking created some quick play, Bruna never gave up in the tackle, while Sophie ran forward and wasnt afraid to take the tackle. Aibhe continued her strong tackling while Edith continued her awareness of support play and finding space.

Three weeks of competitive rugby across South Dublin have seen the girls develop their understanding of attack, defence, tackling, finding space and teamwork and sets them up nicely for their next match…

Saturday 16th December – Donnybrook Stadium – Half time minis match v Old Belvo – we hope to see you all there.
