The club is delighted to support the Rugby Shows Some Heart charity fundraiser for the Irish Heart foundation initiated by Graham Burns. To further lend our support the initiative we are delighted to announce that Rugby Shows Some Heart will be our chosen charity partner for this year’s #WearWesDay (last March we raised over €6,000 for the Irish Cancer Society).
Commenting on the announcement Old Wesley President, Nigel Poff said: “We are delighted to support such a great initiative and support Graham and the Burns family who have long standing connections with Old Wesley, of course Graham who graced Donnybrook with the 20s and 3a’s in his playing days and now Ben who plays for our first XV. By linking Rugby Shows Some Heart with our #WearWesDay we hope to get the entire Old Wesley family – players and supporters near and far involved to make it a great success for our chosen charity this year.”
