We are once again hosting a Friday Night Lights Under 12 Girls Blitz, this year on Friday 13th November at Donnybrook between 7.00pm and 9.00pm. This is the second year that we have hosted this event and after last years success with 80 Under 12 Girls from 8 different clubs attending, the feedback we got was very positive.
The Blitz is being supported by Clover.
This year we have decided to open it up to all of Metro as well as Kilkenny (developing a good link after the communication that was developed at last years trip to Belfast for the Ireland v Wales W6Ns match) and we are anticipating 100+ girls attending from 12 clubs.
I have invited the Leinster Development Officers (who are looking to see if we can get any of the Leinster/Ireland players down), as well as Leo the Lion (possibility of the costume, looking at getting someone to go in to it). We have also invited Under 16 Girls from the clubs to come down and support the girls with the intention of having as many girls on the pitch as possible.
As last year, this is a great opportunity to showcase how Old Wesley are supporting not only our own girls but also the development of Girls rugby within Metro and Leinster.
Thank you for any support you have already given and any support that you can give over the coming two weeks. Please feel free to come down to support our girls as they continue their journey through the club.
