Youth Rugby

Our members are vital to the future success of Old Wesley. The club has been built on the outstanding support which has made Old Wesley one of the most successful and respected rugby clubs in Ireland. Members are vital to the future success of Old Wesley. We are currently running Minis teams from U6/U7s to U12s  and Youths teams from U13 to U15. We also have two dedicated girls teams.  To comply with insurance and Leinster Branch requirements, all players are required to play within their designated age grade.

For the season 2026/2027 Old Wesley for the first time ever will have girls in the Under 18, Under 16 and Under 14 age groups.  As we are still relativity in our infancy all three age groups are amalgamated with other local metro clubs and huge thanks goes to the following for their continued support:

Under 14 – Seapoint RFC
Under 16 – St Marys and DLSP
Under 18 – St Marys and DLSP

This continual support is allowing Old Wesley to continue to work throughout their Girls development plan with the result being a home grown Senior Womens squad in the mid 2030’s.

There are also opportunities for TY members to get involved in coaching during the season. If you would like your daughter to be part of any of these squads:

Under 14 – 2013 and 2014
Under 16 – 2011 and 2012
Under 18 – 2009 and 2010

Our aim is to provide a safe, non competitive, enjoyable environment through activities which ensure progressive skill development for all participants in line with the IRFU Long Term Development (LTPD) pathway, Child Welfare Policy and Traditions of Rugby Union.  You can visit www.irishrugby.ie to view these policies to which Old Wesley RFC adhere to.

Our Sunday morning training times will be available in September these can change if there are matches. Older teams also train on a Wednesday evening.

We train and play between three venues:

• Ballycorus, Kilternan, Co. Dublin, Ballycorus – Old Wesley – Join Us – A Club For Life!
• Energia Stadium Donnybrook, Dublin 4, and
• Wesley College, Ballinteer, Dublin 16.

Don’t forget your gum shield!

All players  must be a paid-up members to be covered by the club insurance.
