Greetings from Donnybrook
The month of October recorded another fine home AIL victory against Young Munster with an impressive 4-try performance. This result followed the 1st XV securing a bonus point in Terenure thanks to a thrilling comeback before the whistle sounded.
On the final weekend of the month and with great credit to all our players, the Club fielded 6 adult teams, winning all bar our 1A clash with St Mary’s.
A promising start to the day, with 152 attending the pre-match lunch, saw our visitors being challenged in all phases of play before securing a late win with an intercept try.
Again, all credit is due to Billy, Morgan and the entire Senior Squad and Management – Old Wesley are playing an exciting brand of rugby, which I invite you to view while giving them your full support.
UCD away this weekend and Old Belvedere at home towards the end of the month.
On 5th December, we travel to Ballynahinch and a supporters’ bus is being planned to give further support to the Team – everyone will be welcome.
Our refurbished 1891 Bar is drawing in the crowds and creating a new atmosphere within the Clubhouse. Michael and his staff will warmly welcome you on your arrival.
In conclusion, best wishes to our Visually Impaired Squad, currently in Japan and about to represent Ireland at an International Tournament
Our exciting Season has not kept still, remember this is YOUR Club, a Club for Life!
Yours in rugby,
Wayne
