Leinster Senior League Final – Old Wesley 0 Terenure 24
Played in ideal conditions, in the Leinster Senior League Final it was Terenure all the way as Old Wesley were kept scoreless. After Josh Miller missed an early penalty goal attempt, Terenure kicked a goal and continued to keep the score board ticking over for the rest of the match. Old Wesley did not play badly; on the contrary they strung together some good moves and displayed neat handling skills. Indeed Wesley had the edge in the opening quarter. However as the game went on the slick opposition back line displayed their abilities as they took control of the match.
Terenure were down to 13 men at one stage following yellow cards for two dangerous tackles, however Wesley failed to capitalise on the scoreboard.
While the Old Wesley players and management will be disappointed with the result they can take some consolation in limiting the opposition to 2 tries; the latter just on full time.
